PETERSEN MEDIA- Jonathan Allard and his Tri-C Motorsports team picked up a second place finish at the Ventura Raceway on Saturday night following a fifth place finish on Friday night at the Santa Maria Speedway during the King of the West Series’ trip to the coast.

“It was great to get a couple of Top-Five finishes with the King of the West Series,” Jonathan Allard said. “My guys did a great job both nights, and we are so close to getting back to KWS victory lane.”

Friday night at the Santa Maria Speedway in Nipomo, CA, Allard timed the Tri-C Manufacturing/K&N/ButlerBuilt No. 3c machine in second fastest. Lining up in the second row of his heat race, the Chico, CA driver finished in the third spot and earned a spot in the night’s Dash.

Pulling the seven pill during the redraw, Allard would finish in the seventh spot and line up in the fourth row for the feature event. Able to pick up a couple of positions over the course of the A Main, Allard would take the checkered flag with a fifth place finish.

Making the trip to Ventura, CA on Saturday night for just the second time in his career, Allard would get his night started off by timing in seventh fastest. Lining up on the front row of his heat race, Allard would pick up the win and make himself Dash eligible.

Starting on the front row of the Dash, Allard would finish in the third spot which would place him in the second row of the feature event on the tight confines of the Ventura Raceway.

Chasing after Bud Kaeding and Tyler Walker for much of the race, Allard would run in the third spot as the laps clicked off. Continuing to work on Kaeding for the second position, Allard would get underneath him as the laps wound down, and he would close his weekend out with a second place finish.

“The 88 car was really good, and once we got into second, he had a pretty good lead built up,” Allard said. “It feels good to be back up on the podium, and hopefully now we can take the next step up and get back into victory lane.”

Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, K&N, ButlerBuilt, Amerikote, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, Weld Wheels, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, RCM Design, Ti64, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, AL Driveline, and Hoosier Tire for their support.
