PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night at Placerville Speedway Andy Forsberg returned to the helm of the C&M Motorsports No. 7c machine and wowed the crowd as he charged from 14th to finish in the third position.

“We brought out a new car that we have been struggling with, and seemed to get it going in the right direction,” Andy Forsberg said. “We were a little off early in the night, but we got to working the cushion in the feature and passed a lot of cars.”

With 25 cars in attendance for “Big Trophy Night”, Forsberg opened the night up by timing the PitStopUSA/Autism Awareness/Pacific Highway Rentals No. 7c machine in 17th quickest in time trials.

Lining up in the third row of his heat race, the Auburn, CA driver was able to pick up a position as a fourth place finish would put the PT Shocks/Swartz Diesel/51 Fifty Energy Drink in the seventh row for the 25-lap feature event.

On this night, fans would be in for a treat as ‘Mr. Excitement’ lived up to his nickname from the seventh row. Putting his right-rear on the cushion that had built up around the speedway, Forsberg pushed the limits as he quickly carved his way through the field.

In the third spot when the red flag flew on the 13th lap, Forsberg still fought for more. Chasing after Mason Moore and Greg DeCaires, Forsberg would begin to feel pressure from Jimmy Trulli for the third spot.

While fending off Trulli to keep third, the lead duo got away from Forsberg, as he would cap his night with an impressive run from 14th to third.

“It was a good way to end our night, but I think we can get this combo even better,” Forsberg said. “Thanks to the guys for working so hard all night, and continuing to work on this car.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank PitStopUSA, Autism Awareness, Pacific Highway Rentals, PT Shocks, Swartz Diesel, 51 Fifty Energy Drink, Alturas Tires, and Velocity Race Gear and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.
