PETERSEN MEDIA- Andy Forsberg and C&M Motorsports made the tow to Placerville Speedway on Saturday night and absolutely thrilled the crowd. Making some noise late in the feature event, Forsberg would thrill the crowd only to have his bid for the win cut short.

“We were back at Placerville with the new KPC that Cody and the guys got this off season, and I think they are heading the right direction,” Forsberg said. “It was really slick on Saturday night, and I got the top working with a few laps to go, but another car changed their line up and I got knocked off the speedway.”

With 28 cars checked into the pit area on Saturday night in Placerville, CA, Forsberg would lay down a great lap aboard the PitStop USA/Autism Awareness/Moorefield Construction backed No. 7c as he timed in third fastest in time trials.

Running third in his heat race, the Auburn, CA wheelman would pull the two-pill for the feature event, putting the Pacific Highway Rentals/PT Shocks/Swartz Diesel entry on the front row for the 25-lap feature event.

With extensive track prep taking place to the speedway prior to the feature event, it would make the bottom groove the preferred line early in the race which wasn’t exactly what Forsberg had hoped for since he was on the outside.

Getting shuffled back to the third spot when he was able to get down low, Forsberg would chase after Greg DeCaires who ran in front of him during most of the feature event.

Slipping back to the fourth spot on the 16th lap, Forsberg would then use a restart to his advantage to thrill the Placerville Speedway crowd. Going up top when the racing action came back to life, Forsberg would rail around both Matt Peterson and DeCaires and then go after the race lead.

As he went to get around the leader, Mason Moore, Moore’s machine would drift up the track and it would force Forsberg’s entry of the speedway and bring his night to an end.

“We had a really good car late in the feature Saturday night, and I thought he had a car that should have won the race,’ Forsberg said. “Unfortunately it didn’t go our way, but thanks to the C&M Motorsports team for working hard.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank PitStopUSA, Autism Awareness, Pacific Highway Rentals, Moorefield Construction, Inc., PT Shocks, Swartz Diesel, 51 Fifty Energy Drink, Alturas Tires, and Velocity Race Gear and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.
