PETERSEN MEDIA- Forced out of town for work in aiding with the unfortunate California Wildfires in Northern California, Ryan Bernal will be absent at Stockton Dirt Track this weekend for the King of the West Finale. Despite the circumstances, Tarlton Motorsports will still be in action fielding a car with the both the Sprint Car Challenge Tour and the King of the West Series.
“Ryan has done a great job for us all year and it really is a bummer that he has to miss this weekend’s King of the West finale,” Tarlton Motorsports Crew Chief, Paul Baines said. “It is really unfortunate circumstances that keep him away this weekend, and we wish all the victims of these fires the very best.”
With Bernal unable to compete this weekend, the familiar blacked out Tarlton Motorsports No. 21 machine will still be in action on Saturday night with both the KWS and the SCCT during the season ending spectacular with ‘a ringer’ taking Bernal’s place.
With the last minute nature of the change, Tarlton Motorsports is still finalizing the details on who that driver will be.
“We will still be in action this weekend, and we are looking forward to a fun night of racing,” Baines added. “We hope everyone can make it out and support a really big event that Stockton Dirt Track puts on.
