PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to action this past weekend after a couple of week’s off, Carson Macedo earned a pair of Top-10 finishes at the Silver Dollar Speedway including a fifth place effort with the King of the West Series on Saturday night.

“Friday night after the rain came through everyone seemed to finish where they started, which was the case for us,” Carson Macedo said. “Saturday night we had an awesome car, but I made a mistake late and slipped back to finish in the fifth spot.”

During the 3rd Annual David Tarter Memorial with the King of the West Series on Saturday night, Carson Macedo kicked his night off by timing the WFO Apparel/Executive Auto Sales/Tarlton and Son, Inc. No. 21x machine in second fastest.

From his second row starting spot in his heat race, Macedo would finish in the third spot and move into the dash where he would start on the pole. Taking the white flag in the lead, Macedo’s machine would come up lane exiting turn two, and he would be credited with a sixth place finish.

Lining up in the third row for the 35-lap feature event after changing engines after the dash, Macedo showed a ton of speed as he found himself in a fierce battle with Willie Croft, as he looked for the fourth position.

Getting by Croft for fourth, Macedo would get into the third spot before the caution waived on the 21st lap resulting in Macedo taking over the second spot. As the race came back to life, Macedo would have his hands full with Croft, as the race for the lead turned into a three-car battle that brought the crowd to their feet.

With the yellow waiving on the 32nd lap, Macedo would get his machine up over the cushion in turn two, and would slip back to the fifth spot, where he would finish.

“I just made a mistake on that last restart that cost us at least a podium I feel,” Macedo explained. “My guys did a great job all night, and gave me a car that was good enough to win the race.”

A storm blew threw the Chico, CA area on Friday night just prior to the feature event, and after pulling the seven pill, Macedo would line up in the seventh spot for the A Main.

With the track staying narrow right around the bottom, Macedo would pick up a Top-10 as he would finish in the seventh spot.

Tarlton Racing would like to thank Elite Landscape Construction, Tarlton and Son, Inc., WFO Apparel, Executive Auto Sales, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, Corporate America Investments, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2015 season.

ON TAP: Macedo will be back in action on Saturday night at the Stockton Dirt Track with the King of the West Series.
