PETERSEN MEDIA: Drivers who choose KSE Racing Products tend to find themselves in the spotlight when the biggest events of the year arise. The story was no different over the weekend during the Jackson Nationals.
The Jackson Nationals dominance kicked off as Jason Johnson turned in a very strong performance during Friday night’s opener as he used KSE Racing Prodcuts to score the win. During Saturday’s day show, Johnson again flexed his muscle as he took out another win and looked to be the man to beat during Saturday night’s championship finale. One driver had something to say about that, and it was Donny Schatz. Schatz has a way of showing up when the big lights are on, and Saturday night he did just that as he used KSE Racing Products to claim the 2018 Jackson Nationals.
A trio of All Star Circuit of Champions events took place in upstate New York over the weekend. Friday night was a true ‘feel good’ story as Paul McMahan made his way to victory lane aboard the Buch No. 13 machine. The rest of the weekend belonged to Carson Macedo who chased in at Stateline Speedway before absolutely dismantling the field at Weedsport Speedway on Sunday night.
The USAC National Sprint Car Series was in action for a pair of events over the weekend in America’s heartland. Friday night Kevin Thomas, Jr scored the win at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE and on Saturday night, ‘Sunshine’ Tyler Courtney was victorious at the famed Knoxville Raceway.
Morgan Turpen found victory lane with the USCS at Hattiesburg Speedway, while Logan Forler doubled up at Big Sky Speedway and Gellatin Speedway. Kyle Hirst took top honors with the KWS at Petaluma Speedway as Logan Wagner used his KSE Racing Products to win at Lernerville Speedway, and Greg Hodnett bested the field at Williams Grove Speedway.
