PETERSEN MEDIA- Mother nature finally stepped aside and let Andy Forsberg and F&F Racing return to racing action over the weekend and when the dust settled at Stockton Dirt Track, Forsberg and company recorded their second consecutive seventh place finish with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour.

“We had some things go our way early in the night that put us in a good spot for the feature,” Andy Forsberg said. “I kind of stunk the joint up at the start of the race and fell back, but fortunately I was able to figure things out a little and move forward and get back to a seventh at the finish.”

A total of 53 cars packed into the pit area for the second round of 2018 SCCT action, and Forsberg would time the Econo Lube-N-Tune and Brakes/Geico Local Office/PitStop USA backed No. x1 entry in third quickest in his time trial group which was good enough to put him on the front row of his heat race.

Able to get the jump, Forsberg would win an eventful heat race that was key to putting him in the six-lap Dash. Lining up 10th in the Dash, the Auburn, CA pilot would make some moves as he worked his way up to a sixth place finish.

Lining up in the third row of the feature by way of his Dash finish, ‘Mr. Excitement’ would take some time figuring out a tricky Stockton Dirt Track surface and would fall as far back as 11th on the race’s seventh lap.

Able to figure some things out, Forsberg would make up for lost time as he got back up to eighth at the race’s halfway point. Continuing to run hard on the extremely slick surface, Forsberg would battle with Tony Gualda for seventh in the race’s closing laps and would get the spot for good coming to the checkered flag.

“It was an interesting feature and I am glad we were able to get back up into the Top-10,” Forsberg added. “Thanks to all the F&F guys for their hard work. Looking forward to getting back to Placerville Speedway Saturday.”

F&F Racing and Andy Forsberg would like to thank Econo Lube-n-Tune and Brakes, Geico Local Office, PitStopUSA, Lucas Oil, Pacific Highway Rentals, Autism Awareness, FVP, and CRV Carbon Solutions for their support in 2018.
