PETERSEN MEDIA: Racing in Visalia, CA and Lemoore, CA over the weekend, Garth Kasiner got out the broom and swept the weekend and he picked up his 15th and 16th wins of the year.
Friday night Kasiner and his team checked in at Plaza Park Raceway, where Kasiner kicked the night off by timing the West Hills Oil/CS9/Security Race Products micro in sixth quickest in time trials.
Lining up second in his heat race, Kasiner would pick up the heat race win to keep his time for the inversion, where the six pill placed the Five Points, CA wheelman on the front row of the feature event.
From the front row, Kasiner was extremely strong as he jumped out to the early lead, and never looked back. Putting his car wherever he needed to, Kasiner would open up his lead lap after lap, keeping a safe buffer between him and second.
Leading the way from green to checkered, Kasiner would close his Friday night out in victory lane as it marked his 15th win of the year.
Saturday night the scene shifted to Lemoore Raceway in Lemoore, CA. Getting off to an uncharacteristic start in time trials, Kasiner would time in 10th quickest in time trials. Working on the Roger Vogt’s Performance Auto & Air/Irritec P1 Drop Tape/Keizer Wheels machine before the heat, all seemed to be good to go as Kasiner picked up the heat race win with ease.
Having some good fortune with the inversion again, Kasiner again found himself on the front row of the feature event. Just like he did on Friday, Kasiner was hard on the throttle when the green was displayed and again quickly opened up a sizeable gap on the field.
Looking just as he did one night before, a late yellow would bunch the field back up . Getting passed with just two laps to go in the feature event, Kasiner would make it exciting as got the top spot back coming to the checkered flag as he capped off the weekend sweep with his 16th win of the season.
