PETERSEN MEDIA- Battling with the ASCS Red River Region over the weekend, Harli White would have a mechanical failure late in the feature event on Friday night at the Outlaw Motors Speedway before battling back to a seventh place finish on Saturday night at the Longdale Speedway.

“We keep seeming to have a little issue week after week that causes us to have a bad finish, we are all hoping to these little gremlins go away as soon as possible,” Harli White said.

Checking in at the Outlaw Motor Speedway on Friday night, White would line her MVT/Jerry Tucker Roustabout/Lucas Oil backed No. 17w entry up in the third of her heat race, before she raced her way to finish in the third spot.

Earning enough points to qualify for the nightly redraw, White would find herself with the six pill thus putting her in the third row for the feature event. As the race came to life, the Lindsay, OK driver would go through a hole in turns one and two and get her machine out of shape.

Though she was able to race on, White would lose four positions as she found herself in the 10th position. Though frustrated, White would remain calm as he worked her way back into the Top-Five as the race started to wind down. With just five laps to go, White would develop a hole in per power steering line, and with fluid spraying everywhere, she would be forced to end her night early.

Heading to the Longdale Speedway on Saturday night, White would capitalize on a front row starting position in her heat race as she picked up the win and again made herself redraw eligible.

Saturday night would see White draw the five-pill to grid the field from the third row on the extremely slick racing surface. Not getting the jump that she wanted on a track that was taking rubber in the early stages of the feature event, White would slide back as far as the 10th spot before she could get in line.

Continuing to hit her marks, White was able to make up some ground on the rubbery surface as he was able to work back to the seventh position and earn her fifth Top-10 finish of the year.

“I made a mistake on the start of the race, and it really hurt us with the way the track was,” White said. “We had a really good car, and I was able to capitalize on some mistakes and work my way back into the seventh spot.”

Harli White Racing would like to thank Mesilla Valley Transportation, Jerry Tucker Roustabout, Lucas Oil, Charlie’s Trucking, PXP Racewear, All Star Cafe, Boyd’s Racing Engines, Race Chic, Crash Enterprises, Outlaw Wings, Super Flow Testers, Simpson, Classic Seagulls UK, Eagle Motorsports, and the Shriners Hospital For Children Gavelston for their support during the 2015 season.

2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-18, Wins-0, Top 5’s-2, Top 10’s-5.
