PETERSEN MEDIA- With the World of Outlaws leaving town, Kyle Hirst and his Roth Motorsports team quickly get back to their Sprint Car Challenge Tour title defense as they return to Placerville Speedway for a big two-day showdown with only four points paying races left in 2018.

“This weekend is a huge race weekend for our race team,” Kyle Hirst said. “Our Outlaw swing didn’t really go how any of us anticipated and hoped, but we have to put it behind us and get ready for a big weekend.”

Friday and Saturday night the Sprint Car Challenge Tour invades Placerville Speedway with a ton of money up for grabs in the 2nd Annual Nor-Cal Posse Shootout. Kicking off the final four SCCT events of the season, Hirst and crew will roll into Placerville Speedway as the current point leaders with a 58 point cushion over Sean Becker who will overtake Tim Kaeding for second in points with Kaeding now sidelined.

“We have been really strong in California all year long, and Placerville Speedway has been good to us over the years so I go into this weekend with some confidence,” Hirst added. “Cori Guy and Michael Hellwig always give 100% and we should be right in the mix this weekend even with a strong group expected.”

Hirst has been strong aboard the Roth Motorpsorts entry in 2018 as he has picked up 10 wins including his first SCCT feature back in July at Petaluma Speedway. Running well in 410 action at Placerville Speedway this season, Hirst looks to add to his point lead as he strives to become to series’ only champion in its early existence.

“Dennis and Teresa Roth are great car owners, and I have to thank them for allowing us to run with the Outlaws over the last month, and continue to support us night in and night out,” Hirst added. “Everyone associated with this team is great to work with and I look forward to seeing what we can do this weekend.”

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, Roth Investments, 3H Cattle, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2018.

BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 46, Wins: 10, Top 5’s: 26, Top 10’s: 30.
