Huset’s 50 Win Highlights Big Week of Racing for Aaron Reutzel and Roth Motorsports

PETERSEN MEDIA- The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series took part in ‘The Showdown’ over the past week, with events taking place at Huset’s Speedway and the Jackson Motorplex. When the hectic week came to a close, Aaron Reutzel picked up his biggest win of the season to date as he took top honors during the Huset’s 50 portion of the event at Huset’s Speedway.

“I was really pumped to get the win at Huset’s Speedway,” Aaron Reutzel said. “It has been one of those years where we find speed, then it stops working. We haven’t given up, and I felt like we were pretty good on Tuesday night. Big thanks to Dennis and Teresa Roth, as well as Todd Ventura and all of our guys for continuing to support myself and this team.”

After issues on Monday saw Reutzel get into the wall and break a wheel while running inside the Top-10, the Clute, TX driver came back on Tuesday night stronger than he was the night before.

Timing in second fastest in his qualifying flight aboard the Roth Enterprises/Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co. backed No. 83, Reutzel would cruise a win in his heat race and transfer directly into the 50-lap feature event, as well as earn a spot in the DirtVision Fast Pass Dash.

After pulling the two during the Dash draw, Reutzel would get the jump from his front row starting position and race on to the win. By way of the win, Reutzel would lead the field to green for the 50-lap $30,000 to win feature event.

When the race came to life, Reutzel was able to outrun Donny Schatz into turn one and two and jump out to the early lead. Once out front, Reutzel would only be slowed by a few stoppages, including a scheduled stop just after the race’s halfway point.

Though things would get close in traffic, Reutzel would hang on to the top spot as he would lead all 50-laps en route to his fourth win of the 2021 season and made himself eligible for a $100k bonus heading into Saturday night’s Jackson Nationals finale.

Following an off day on Wednesday, the Jackson Nationals would take center stage on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to wrap up the second half of ‘The Showdown’.

Though Reutzel and company would be eligible for the bonus in what would turn into Sunday night’s finale, the week didn’t go as they had hoped as the team picked up 13th and 15th place finishes during the two preliminary nights.

Saturday weather would push the finale to Sunday afternoon, and in qualifier action, Reutzel would finish fourth and transfer directly into the feature event.

On a very fast surface, Reutzel would end up closing the week out with a 15th place finish.

“Jackson was a tough three nights for us, but we will move on from it and get ready for our next outing,” Reutzel said. “Again, thanks to everyone at Roth Motorsports for all of the continued support.”

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co., HR Livestock Transportation, Roth Investments, Southern Pacific Farms, All Star Performance, FK Rod Ends, Vahlco Wheels, Triple X Race Co., AL Drive Lines, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Wings Unlimited, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, Smith Titanium, and Team Simpson for their support in 2021.

ON TAP: Reutzel and Roth Motorsports head to Cedar Lake Speedway this Friday and Saturday night.
