Justin Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports Pick Up Fourth Win at Placerville Speedway in 4th Start

PETERSEN MEDIA- Justin Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports continue to be the team to beat at Placerville Speedway. Monday night, Sanders and the Placerville, CA based team continued their perfect run at the track as they recorded their fourth win of the season in as many starts at the famed ¼ mile bullring.

“It is pretty incredible the run that we have had together at Placerville Speedway over the last few years,” Justin Sanders said. “Dale and Tara Miller have built an awesome team over the years and with so many of their partners from the area and typically in the crowd, I am glad we can continue to make them proud.”

With 28 cars on hand for the 4th of July celebration on Monday night, Sanders got the night kicked off on the right foot as he earned quick time honors aboard the Thompson’s Buick-GMC/Thompson’s Jeep-Ram/Dale Miller Septic Inc. backed No. 4SA.

Lining up fourth in heat race action, Sanders went to work on the racy Placerville Speedway surface and battled to a second-place finish to solidify his spot in the feature event and the nightly redraw.

With the two pill in hand, Sanders put the potent No. 4SA on the front row of the feature event as he looked for his 5thwin of the season, and fourth while piloting the Dale Miller owned entry.

When the race came to life it was Michael Pombo getting the jump over the Aromas, CA driver, but it would not take long for Sanders to build his momentum up and assume the race lead.

Making his move on the third lap, the only thing that could slow Sanders on this night was the handful of cautions that were sprinkled throughout the course of the feature.

Only challenged one time for the lead on a late restart by Blake Carrick, Sanders was able to counter the move and power on to his fifth win of the season at Placerville Speedway, and fourth while aboard the No. 4SA.

Saturday night, Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports made a last minute decision to head to the Stockton Dirt Track with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour.

Though Sanders and Miller don’t have many laps logged at the facility together, it didn’t slow them down as Sanders earned fast time honors in his heat race group before racing to a second-place finish.

Advancing into the Dash, Sanders’ fourth place finish put him in the second row of the star-studded feature event.

On a lighting fast Stockton Dirt Track, Sanders hooked up in an entertaining battle with Michael Faccinto for third and took the position on the sixth lap. As second running Justyn Cox endured issues and pulled off, Sanders took over the position and turned his attention to race leader, Corey Day.

Stalking Day, Sanders made his move while in traffic and took the race lead over on the 21st lap. Continuing to run in traffic, Day would return the favor on the 23rd lap and quickly begin to pull away.

Unable to reel Day back in, Sanders capped his night off with a second-place finish at the Stockton Dirt Track.

“Lap traffic definitely was one of those make-or-break situations on Saturday night, and Corey Day was really good and just decided to go around us,” Sanders said. “It is disappointing to run second, but we just got beat. Overall, it was a really good weekend with Dale and Tara Miller.”

BY THE NUMBERS: Starts- 8, Wins- 4, Top-5’s-7, Top-10’s-8

ON TAP: With KWS action for Saturday night cancelled, Sanders and Dale Miller are slated to make a return trip to Placerville Speedway on Saturday night.
