PETERSEN MEDIA- Justin Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports are proving to be quite the potent combination at Placerville Speedway as the duo was able to record their third feature event win of the season on Saturday night.
“Dale Miller and his guys really have this place figured out and do a great job of putting a fast racecar underneath me,” Justin Sanders said. “It was a ton of fun on Saturday night and I am happy to get another win for these guys.”
Timing the Thompson’s Auto/RedHawk Casino/Dale Miller Motorsports No. 4SA machine in 11th fastest in time trials, the Aromas, CA pilot would find himself on the front row of his heat race.
Racing his way to the important win, Sanders would earn a berth in the redraw where the three pill put him in the second row to start the 25-lap feature event. A big pile up on the race’s initial start would see the field re stacked, and with cars dropping out Sanders would now find himself on the front row.
When the green flag was displayed to the field for the second time, Sanders was able to rocket into the lead as he searched after his third win of the season aboard the Dale Miller Septic, Inc./El Dorado Hills Landscaping/Anrak Corporation entry.
As the race would go green to checkered after the initial red, Sanders would feel pressure for track point leader, Andy Forsberg as the leaders raced through heavy traffic.
Able to keep the field at bay, Sanders would make one bobble on the cushion in the race’s waning laps that made things interesting but as he got back in the racing groove, he would race on to score another feature event victory giving him three for the year with Dale Miller Motorsports and 13 for himself personally.
“It is great to grab another win against such a stout field of cars,” Sanders added. “Dale Miller as great equipment and deserves this success, so again I really have to thank him for working with me this year when there’s room in both our schedules.”
