PETERSEN MEDIA: Continuing his winning ways over the Weekend, Garth Kasiner picked up his 14th win of the year on Friday night in Dixon, CA and backed it up with a run from eighth to second on Saturday night in Stockton, CA.
Kaisner would put together a perfect night on Friday nigh that saw him kick things off by timing the West Hills Oil/CS9/Security Race Products No. 21G machine in quickest in time trials, as he then went on to charge from fourth to first in his heat race.
Moving into the Dash, Kasiner would mimic his heat race performance as he again charged from fourth to first, and put his Roger Vogt Performance Auto and Air/Irritec P1 Drip Tape/Keizer Wheels entry on the pole of the feature event.
On the front row, Kasiner would prove to be to tough to tame on this night as he was hard on the throttle when the green lights flickered on. Jumping out to the early lead, Kasiner would look impressive on the Dixon Raceway, as the track did provide some challenges with some rough spots mixed in.
Not letting it slow him down, Kasiner would keep the field at bay as he raced his way to his 14th win of the 2017 season.
Traveling to Delta Raceway on Saturday night, Kasiner continued to flex his muscle as he earned quick time honors by just .006 seconds.
Looking to go perfect on the weekend, Kasiner would do as he did on Friday night and charge from the fourth starting position to pick up the heat race win. With the feature event inversion not kind to him, the Five Points, CA driver would see the eighth pill place him in the fourth row for the feature event.
From his eighth starting spot, Kasiner was patient as he was able to claim the fourth spot by the 10th circuit as the field worked through lapped traffic. A caution on the 16th lap would bunch the field back up, and Kasiner would continue to work towards the front as the laps clicked down.
Getting into traffic with five markers left in the event, Kasiner would move into the third spot before the race’s final caution of the night was displayed to the field.
On the race’s last lap, Kasiner would gain another spot as he was able to get into second and close out a very strong weekend.
