Kyle Offill Eyes Knoxville Raceway Debut on Heels of Weekend with All Stars

PETERSEN MEDIA: Continuing a season of firsts, Kyle Offill is set to make his debut at the famed Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night, just one week removed from his first appearance with the All Star Circuit of Champions.

“Last weekend was good for us as a team because we got to test ourselves against some of the best in the Country,” Kyle Offill said. “There isn’t a ton to say about it since our results weren’t great, but for our first weekend with the All Stars we were pretty happy to make both feature events.”

Friday night Offill was able to pick up a heat race win in the Country Builders/Ochoco West/Brown and Miller backed No. 88 machine, which was good enough to move him into the Dash as well as the feature event.

Finishing ninth, the Tracy, CA pilot would find himself in the fifth row to take the green flag for the feature event. With only one night at Park Jefferson under his belt, Offill took a few laps to adapt to the surface, and he would slip back a few spots early in the race.

Running a patient feature, Offill would get better and better as the laps clicked away and was able to pick up a few positions in the later stages of the race and come away with a 16th place finish.

Saturday night was another night at Park Jefferson Speedway in South Dakota, and Offill would again transfer directly out of his heat race into the feature event based on his third place finish.

With heat finishing position determining feature event starting position with the All Stars, Offill would find himself deeper in the field on this night as he took the green flag from the 17th starting position.

Making the decision to experiment with some things on the car setup wise as they were already deep in the field, Offill noted the changes helped him in the second half of the race as he was able to make up a few lost positions and finish 18th.

“To make the featuare both nights and not have to come out of the ‘B’, was really a good thing for us,” Offill added. “This week we head to Knoxville Raceway, and I excited for the chance to run there and looking forward to seeing how we stack up against their 360ci field. We will practice on Friday night to get some laps ahead of time, and then it is go time on Saturday. I’d like to thank my guys for their hard work, and I would also like to extend a big thank you to the McCarl family for continuing to let us stay with them during this trip, and allowing us to work out of their shop.”

Kyle Offill would like to thank Country Builders, Ochoco West, Brown and Miller, Maas Bros., Reliable Lumber, Boise Cascade, Offill Family Farms, Weld Wheels, HRP, FK Shocks, Arai America Helmets, Hinchman Racewear, Maxim Chassis, and B. Scadden Design for their continued support.

BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 8, Wins: 1, Top 5’s: 2, Top 10’s: 4

ON TAP: Offill will travel to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night to take part in the track’s regular season opener as he will compete in the 360ci division.
