PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to the seat of the family owned Mason Moore Racing No. 22 entry on Friday night in Chico, CA, Mason Moore would leave his night pleased as he finished fourth in the feature event.

“It was a pretty good night, and we came away with another Top-Five finish,” Mason Moore said. “We have really been going well in Chico as of late in both cars and it makes it a lot of fun.”

Timing the Coors Light/LRB Race Products/NAAKE Suspension backed No. 22 entry in fourth fastest in qualifying time trials, Moore would line up in the second row of his heat race.

Putting on quite the show in his heat race with Jodie Robinson and Michael Ing, Moore would come away with the win, which put him directly into the feature event and also put him in the redraw.

Pulling the six pill, Moore would line up in the third row to start the 25-lap feature event on the extremely racy Silver Dollar Speedway surface. When the green lights flashed on, Moore would jump on the throttle and quickly find himself up in the fourth spot and chasing after the likes of Andy Forsberg and Tanner Thorson.

Working his way into third, Moore would continue to chase after the lead duo but in his pursuit he was admittedly make a couple of bad judgments and slipped back to sixth.

A late restart would see him climb back inside the Top-Five, and a late mistake by Andy Forsberg opened the door for Moore to sneak back into fourth at the checkered flag.

“I made a couple of bad choices on my line a couple times and it cost us a few positions,” Moore said. “We were able to get back up to fourth, so that was a good thing for sure. Like I said, we seem to be running well heading into some big races so that is good for confidence.”

Moore would like to thank Coors Light, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, K&N, Selover Paint and Body, Lucas Oil, ITC Service Group, Saureel, and Moore Insurance Services for their support.
