PETERSEN MEDIA- Kicking a busy week of racing off over the weekend with Brian Cannon Motorsports, Mason Moore would finish fourth on Friday night in Chico, CA before an eighth place effort with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour on Saturday night in Placerville, CA.

“It was great to get back racing, and it was great to have a couple of good runs against some really tough competition,” Mason Moore said. “It is a big week of racing, and it was a great start to it for our team.”

Friday night at Silver Dollar Speedway, Moore opened his night up by timing the Mike’s Harder Lemonade/Garth Moore Insurance/FK Rod Ends machine in second fastest amongst the 18 drivers checked in.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, Moore would work his way up to finish second and ensure himself a spot in the nightly redraw. Pulling the seven pill, Moore would roll off the starting grid from the fourth row. On a very racy Silver Dollar Speedway surface, Moore would find himself battling hard in sixth, seventh, and eighth for much of the race.

As the laps wound down, Moore would work his way up to fifth. A very wild last lap would go in Moore’s favor, and when the dust settled he would bring the BCM machine home with a fourth place finish.

Starting over again on Saturday night, Moore and the BCM team made the trip to Placerville Speedway to go to work with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour. Timing in third quickest in his time trial group, Moore would line up on the front row of his heat race.

Finishing second in the heat, Moore would transfer directly into the 35-lap feature event where he would take the green flag from the sixth row. On an extremely slick racing surface that would eventually take rubber, Moore would do a great job of making up ground.

Making a couple of nice moves to drive around the likes of Tim Kaeding, Moore would close this night out with an eighth place finish.

“We got a little momentum towards the end of the feature and picked up a few spots,” Moore said. “Thanks to Brian Cannon and everyone on this team for working hard for me over a very hot weekend.”

Brian Cannon Motorsports would like to thank Mike’s Harder Lemonade, Garth Moore Insurance, FK Rod Ends, and Mountain Mikes Pizza for their support in 2018.
