Mechanical Gremlins Hinder Faccinto and F&F Racing During Fall Nationals Finale

PETERSEN MEDIA- Running ninth during Friday night’s Fall Nationals opener in Chico, CA, Saturday night Michael Faccinto was battling inside the Top-Three when a late race mechanical issue ended his night early.

“Friday night we struggled in the feature a little bit, but learned some things for Saturday, and it worked out for us,” Michael Faccinto said. “We had such a good car all night, but unfortunately we had a mechanic issue late in the race while battling inside the Top-Three that ended our night early.”

Saturday night with 66 cars on hand, Michael Faccinto got the night underway by timing the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Moto Parts backed No. x1 in fourth fastest in his qualifying and heat race group.

Lining up fourth in his heat, Faccinto had his elbows up as he carved his way into the second position, and it locked him into the feature event as well as the all-important Dash.

Pulling the one in the redraw, Faccinto led the field to green in the Dash and picked up the win which then gave him the pole for the 40-lap feature event. When the race went green, Faccinto led the initial lap, but Shane Golobic would battel around and drop Faccinto back into second where he ran for the next 13 laps before slipping back to third.

Working his way back into second on lap-24 as he battled with brother, Mitchell, Faccinto looked to be on his way to a podium finish until trouble struck on lap 30 and his car lost power.

With the mechanical issues slowing Faccinto, his night would end as he was scored back in 18th.

Friday night, Faccinto and company were in action with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour to open up the Fall Nationals where the Hanford, CA driver got things kicked off by timing in third fastest in his group.

Running second in his heat race, Faccinto would just miss out on a Dash berth and took the green flag from the ninth starting position.

Keeping the F&F Racing entry inside the Top-10 all night, Faccinto was unable to put a run together and make any headway. When the 35-lapper came to a close, Faccinto closed the race out with a ninth-place finish.

“I definitely feel like Alan Bradway and I get stronger when we are able to string some races together,” Faccinto said. “We have a lot of speed right now, and it has me really happy and excited as we head to my home track on Friday.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Lucas Oil, , Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Pacific Highway Rentals, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.
