PETERSEN MEDIA: Though his Chili Bowl ended as the 60th roll over victim of the week, Kyle Offill was still able to have some fun during the week of racing despite the tough results.
“Though we ended upside down on Saturday night, it was still really great to be back with Team RAYPRO for the week,” Kyle Offill said. “Davey has been so great to me, and I really have to thank him for having me back out.”
Tuesday night saw the Tracy, CA driver kick his Chili Bowl off, and it got off to a nice start as he found himself in a battle for second in heat race action. Trying to grab the spot and get the valuable points, Offill would end up losing the handle on his machine and end up finishing sixth.
By way of his finish, Offill would find himself in the sixth row of the ‘C’ Main and when the green flag was displayed to the field he was on the loud pedal as he worked his way toward a transfer position.
Getting within striking distance of the Top-Four, Offill would feel the rear end of his machine slide out from underneath him and his machine would spin to a stop before he finished 13th in the race.
Saturday night saw the 2017 Sprint Car Challenge Tour Rookie of the Year get things started by lining up eighth in the ‘K’ Main. Continuing to run hard as he did during his qualifying night, Offill was able to work his way up to a third place finish and move into a ‘J’ Main.
From the rear of the ‘J’, Offill continued to go forward on the Tulsa Expo Raceway, but as he worked into another transfer position a car in front of him would get out of shape and with nowhere to go Offill would make contact and become the 60th rollover victim of the week to close his Chili Bowl.
“I really have to thank everyone who made all of this possible,” Offill added. “My guys worked hard to give me a really good car. I also have to give a special thanks to Bacchetti Hay, Offill Family Farms, and Country Builders. This is a fun event, and I would love more time in a midget this year to hopefully help out for the next Chili Bowl.”

ON TAP: Offill will be off for a couple of weeks before racing in California gets underway. Offill is scheduled to kick the sprint car season off on March 2nd and 3rd in Chico, CA.
