Peterson Charges To Fourth at Petaluma Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Matt Peterson and his team returned to the Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night after having success at the track back in July looking to shake their bad luck, and they did just that as the Wilton, CA native charged from his 10th starting spot to finish fourth.

“We had an awesome car and were really strong in the feature, but qualifying set us back, and we ran out of laps,” Peterson said.

Timing in 10th fastest in time trials, Peterson went on to finish fifth in his heat, putting his V&H Fresh/Miller Lite/Inventory Sales No. p37 entry in the fifth row of the feature event.

On a very racy track, Peterson began his charge, as he worked around the speedway, slowly gaining spots.

Seemingly gaining his spots at will, Peterson found himself inside the Top-Five as he battled with the likes of Brad Bumgarner and Herman Klein.

Working into the fourth spot, Peterson worked on Herman Klein for the third spot, as they also had Bradley Terrell in their sights as they ran in lapped traffic.

When the race came to a close Peterson finished in the fourth spot, but was looking for more laps.

“We had a great car in the feature, and the race flew by,” he added. “As the laps clicked off we seemed to get better, and better, and I think we had one of the faster cars on the track at the end of the race. I can’t thank my family and everyone enough for continuing to work with me and get our team stronger.”

Matt and his team would like to thank V&H Fresh, Miller Lite, Inventory Sales Company, Bear Trucking, Future Energy Savers, Transportation Services, The Oil Medics, Shell Shock, and MTFX Graphics for their support in 2014.

ON TAP: Peterson and his team will be back in action on Saturday night at Ocean Speedway for the Johnny Key Classic.
