Reutzel Fifth at Tri-State Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Spending the weekend in Indiana, Aaron Reutzel would pick up a 10th place finish at Kokomo Speedway on Friday night before tallying a fifth place effort on Saturday night at Tri-State Speedway.

“We have some good speed, but we just need to be a little better and capitalize on good starting spots,” Aaron Reutzel said. “We have been really consistent with our results the last few weeks, but now want to be consistently battling for wins and podiums.”

The Indiana Doubleheader weekend kicked off at the famed Kokomo Speedway on Friday night where Reutzel timed the Roth Enterprises/Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co./HR Livestock Transportation backed entry in eighth fastest in time trials.

Moving into heat race action at ‘The Baddest Bullring’, the Clute, TX driver would pick up a third-place finish and move directly into the 40-lap feature event.

Taking the green flag from the 12th starting position, Reutzel was able to keep the Roth Motorsports entry inside the Top-10 during a very entertaining race that saw action all over.

When the 40-lapper drew to a close, Reutzel capped the night off with a 10th place result.

Saturday night saw the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’ travel to Haubstadt, IN for a night of action at Tri-State Speedway.

Timing in second fastest in his qualifying group, Reutzel would pick up the heat race win and earn a spot in the DirtVision Fast Pass Dash. Racing to a win in the Dash, Reutzel would lead the field to green alongside Tyler Courtney for the final 40-lap feature event of the weekend.

Getting the initial jump, Reutzel would lead early before finding himself in a tight battle with Courtney and Hunter Schuenburg. With the former non-wing standouts able to get by him, Reutzel fell to third as he continued to work around the Indiana bullring.

In a wild race, Reutzle would continue to run strong as he soon found himself battling with the likes of Haudenschild, Macedo, and McFadden as traffic created some tight battles.

When the race drew to a close, a dramatic finish would see Reutzel cap his weekend off with a fifth place finish.

“I really want to thank Dennis and Teresa Roth for everything they continue to do for this team,” Aaron Reutzel said. “Starting up front like we did on Saturday you want to finish up there, so it just means we still have more work to do. My guys are working hard, and like I said, things are feeling really good.”

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co., HR Livestock Transportation, Roth Investments, Southern Pacific Farms, All Star Performance, FK Rod Ends, Vahlco Wheels, Triple X Race Co., AL Drive Lines, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Wings Unlimited, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, Smith Titanium, and Team Simpson for their support in 2021.

ON TAP: Reutzel and Roth Motorsports will be back in action this weekend at Lawton Speedway on Friday and at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday.
