PETERSEN MEDIA- Spending another weekend racing in Washington, Robbie Price would finish eighth during an up and down night of action at the Gray’s Harbo Raceway.
“It really was not the night we were hoping for as we chased a brake problem,” Robbie Price said. “We had speed, but with the brakes being hit and miss, it made for a long night.”
Getting the Raylle Auto Sales/Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing No. 21 machine timed in fifth fastest of the 18 cars assembled, Price would line up in the second row of his heat race.
Snagging a fourth place finish, the Cobble Hill, BC pilot would line up in the third row for the feature event. Getting off to a great start, Price would quickly work his way into the third spot as he became a player for the race lead.
While running in the third spot, Price would lose his brakes and it would result in him getting up over the cushion. As he got out of shape, he would lose several spots and find himself back in the eighth position.
With a ton of speed, Price opted to play it cool during the remained of the race, and take his eighth place finish as he sets his sights on a big weekend in California.
“We had plenty of speed to get back around a couple of cars, but I didn’t think it was worth risking our car for another position with a huge race weekend on the horizon,” Price noted.
