PETERSEN MEDIA- Back in action with Tarlton Motorsports on Saturday night for the penultimate King of the West race of the season, Ryan Bernal would go to work at Keller Auto Speedway during the Cotton Classic and garner a seventh place finish.
“Overall I thought it was a pretty good night for our team,” Ryan Bernal said. “The track was pretty locked down all night long which made things kind of tricky, but in the feature you could move around a little I just didn’t do a great job on the long runs.”
Timing the Tarlton and Son, Inc./Executive Auto Sales/Pabco Gypsum backed No. 21 machine in sixth fastest in qualifying amongst the 21 cars that were checked in for action, the Hollister, CA driver would pick up a fourth place finish in heat race competition.
Just missing out on points for the Sunny Valley Bacon Dash, Bernal would move into the 30-lap feature event where he would roll off of the starting grid from the eighth position.
On the hooked up Keller Auto Speedway surface, Bernal would keep the famed black machine well inside the Top-10 as he jockeyed for position with the likes of Willie Croft, DJ Netto and Dominic Scelzi.
With the laps clicking off quickly on the lightening fast surface, the race was over quickly as Bernal picked up his 18thTop-10 of the year with his seventh place finish.
