Ryan Robinson Lands Back on SCCT Podium; Pulls to Within 7 Digits of Series Point Lead

PETERSEN MEDIA: Fresh off a charge to third from 17th one week ago, Ryan Robinson was back on the podium with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour as he picked up a second-place finish on Saturday night in Petaluma, CA and now sits just 7 markers out of the series points lead.

“I really have to thank all of our guys,” Ryan Robinson said. “Our car was awesome all night long and we made the right decisions for the feature and ended up with a second-place finish.”

With 22 cars on hand for the series’ second of three visits to Petaluma Speedway, Robinson would stop the clocks with the fastest lap of the night in time trials as he earned Bianchi Farms Quick Time Award.

In a wild heat race that saw a jump start and a late motor failure, Robinson would pick up the win which moved him into the Dash on a surface that was extremely slick with hotter than normal temperatures in the area.

Running fifth in the Dash, Robinson would line up in the inside of the third row for the 35-lap feature event. Making a couple of decisions on their set up prior to the feature, Robinson and his Weiher Racing team’s work would ultimately pay off.

When the race went green, it would be a high-speed game of chess as the first 33-laps clicked off with no stoppage. Running in fourth for the duration of the extended green flag run, Robinson would make the best of the race’s lone restart as he would make a nice move to get by Sean Becker and take the second position when the checkered flag was displayed to the field.

“Petaluma is always kind of weird because some time when it slicks off it will come back and get sticky, and sometimes it stays slick, so it is a hard guessing game,” Robinson said. “We opted to stay on the free side of things, and it worked out. Again, thanks to all the guys for their hard work, and all the great companies and people that support our team.”

Weiher Racing would like to thank Mako Farms, Inc., LP Holdings, Roseville Precision, Inc., Escalon Body and Frame, Seth’s Racing Engines, Papa Chuck, Dave Harvey Trucking, and Morrison Concrete for their support in 2021!

BY THE NUMBERS: Races-13, Wins-1, Top 5’s-5, Top 10’s-12

ON TAP: Robinson will head to Skagit Speedway this weekend before returning ot the Weiher Racing machine on July 3rd in Stockton, CA
