PETERSEN MEDIA: Turning into one of the biggest races on the West Coast, Saturday night’s Peter Murphy Classic turned into a thriller that saw Shane Golobic and Tarlton Motorsports score the win with KSE Racing Products.
Claiming the last two Trophy Cup Championships and Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA, Shane Golobic made his first ever feature event win at the famed 1/3 mile oval a memorable one as he passed Bud Kaeding and Kyle Hirst coming to the white flag to pick up the win.
The Peter Murphy Classic opened up on Friday night with Sprint Car Challenge Tour action, and that race saw young standout Gio Scelzi grab the lead early and never look back as he used his KSE Racing Products to score his first career win with the series.
Midwest action over the weekend saw Brian Brown use KSE Racing Products to return to victory lane at Knoxville Raceway, Cory Eliason grabbed his first ever win at Jackson Motorplex, and Brady Forbrook won the 305 feature event at the Motorplex as well.
Danny Jennings topped Lawton Speedway, Mark Smith bested the field at Outlaw Speedway and Jack Dover won the MSTS race at Rapid Speedway.
Andy Forsberg made an appearance in Petaluma, CA and won the 360 race, as Skyler Gee, Richard Vander Weerd, RJ Johnson, and Chase Ridnour all used KSE Racing Products to find victory lane.
