PETERSEN MEDIA: DJ Netto’s 2015 season came to a close on Saturday night at the Stockton Dirt Track, and with his sixth place finish in the 30-lap feature event Netto closed his King of the West Campaign tied with Brent Kaeding for fourth in the series standings.

“Overall it was a good year for us,” Netto said. “We were able to pick up tow King of the West wins, and the last few weeks I think we hit on some things that will help us for 2016.”

22 cars checked into the Stockton Dirt Track on Saturday night for the final KWS race of the season, and Netto timed his Netto Ag/Penny Newman Grain/Bogies Auto Parts No. 88n machine in 11th fastest which put him on the front row of his heat race.

On the rough and heavy Stockton Dirt 3/8 track, Netto was on the hammer when the green flag waived and jumped out to the early lead. Needing the win to earn a Dash spot, Netto was able to fend off advances from Carson Macedo and Willie Croft as he earned the win.

Lining up fourth in the Dash, Netto would slip back to the fifth spot, where he would finish which put him in the third row for the 30-lap Tribute to Gary Patterson feature event.

On a track that was tough to pass on, Netto would hold strong battling for a Top-Five position as he would battle with Tim Kaeding, Mitchell Faccinto, and Bud Kaeding early in the feature event.

With the tricky surface taking its toll on some of the competition, Netto was able to hold strong as he continued to run in the sixth spot as laps clicked off. As the race drew to a close, the Hanford, CA pilot battled with Willie Croft for the fifth spot but came up just short.

“I have to thank Skip, Wood, and everyone for their hard work since coming on board the last couple of months,’ DJ Netto said. “I also have to thank my family for continuing to support me and the sport I love. I am really eager for the 2016 season, and looking forward to building off of 2015.”

DJ and his Netto Racing team would like to thank Netto Agriculture, Penny Newman Grain, Bogies Auto Parts, Kaeding Performance, and Vande Pol Enterprises for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: Netto’s 2015 season has come to a close.
