PETERSEN MEDIA: Getting back to work over the past weekend in Chico, CA, Tanner Carrick had a weekend he would soon like to forget about at a track that he typically has success at. As the season quickly concludes in California, Carrick is excited to the famed Trophy Cup coming in two weeks, and is looking forward to a shake down in Tulare, CA this coming Saturday night.
“We were just off all weekend in Chico, CA,” Tanner Carrick said. “Usually, we are in the mix each time we check into the pit area, but we just could not make anything work.”
On a hooked up and fast racing surface Friday night, Carrick worked his way into the feature amongst the 59 cars entered into the event before ultimately finishing in ninth.
Saturday night, a few more cars joined the fray, and Carrick timed in eighth fastest in his group, before a ninth-place finish in his heat race put him in the ‘B’. Charging from 15th to 9th in the semi, Carrick did not transfer into the feature event, and the team quickly began going over their plan for the next two weeks.
“Rather than chase our tail with this package, were going to change things up and head to Tulare, CA this Saturday night to see if we can get ourselves right for Trophy Cup,” Tanner Carrick added. “It is a huge race with a very deep field of cars, and you have to be on your game each time you hit the track, so we are taking full advantage of some track time this weekend.”
