TK 6th at Jackson Nationals

PETERSEN MEDIA- Hitting the Jackson Motorplex over the weekend to take part in the Jackson Nationals, Tim Kaeding would pick up a sixth place finish with the National Sprint League.

“Saturday night we had a good run and put ourselves in good position for Sunday night’s finale, but the driver made too many mistakes and we slipped back to sixth,” Tim Kaeding said.

By way of his seventh place finish in Saturday night’s feature event, TK would find himself eighth in event points and locked into the Sunday night pole shoot out.

Going into Saturday’s shootout as the low seed, TK would thrill the crowd as he would win three rounds of the shoot out to better his starting spot and put him in the third row for the 25-lap feature event.

From the fifth starting spot, Kaeding would run inside the Top-5 during much of the race as the Jackson Motorplex offered a great surface on this night. Wheeling the Folkens Bros. Trucking/Dammer Trucking/Mihm Trucking entry around the speedway, TK would battle with Danny Lasoski, Craig Dollansky and Davey Heskin for much of the feature.

As the drivers began exchanging positions, TK would admittedly make a few mistakes that would soon see him outside of the Top-Five and looking in. Chasing after Craig Dollansky during the race’s final laps, Kaeding would be unable to himself back into the Top-Five as he would wrap his Jackson Nationals up with a sixth place finish.

“We had a really good car on Sunday night, I just let the team down,” Kaeding said. “It was still a decent finish, but I think we should have been better than sixth. Now we turn our attention to the Badlands finale this weekend and see what we can do.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Folkens Bros. Trucking, Dammer Trucking, Mihm Trucking, Yager Agriculture Supply, Matt’s Repair, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2016.

ON TAP: TK and the Lunstra Motorsports team will be in action at the Badlands Motor Speedway this Saturday and Sunday night.
