PETERSEN MEDIA- A busy week of racing saw Tim Kaeding and his Lunstra Motorsports team turn in a strong performance as Kaeding pocketed four Top-10 finishes during NSL Speedweek.

“We had a really good week,” Tim Kaeding said. “We were unable to get into victory lane but we showed some consistency.”

Kicking things off last Tuesday night, TK would open NSL Speedweek up by timing the Dammer Trucking/Folkens Bros. Trucking/Sioux Falls Ford No. 3 machine in sixth fastest during time trials.

Picking up a heat race win from the second row, the San Jose, CA driver would finish fifth in the Dash, and line up in the third row for the feature event. Overcoming an early spin during the feature event, Kaeding would rally as he carved his way back up to a seventh place finish.

Wednesday night the series was in action at the Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines, IA and Kaeding again started the night off by timing in sixth quickest. A third place finish in his heat race would again find Kaeding in the Dash where a fifth place finish would again place him in the third row for the A Main.

With passing at a premium on Wednesday night, much of the Top-10 finishers finished right where they started, including Kaeding. Though he would battle NSL Point Leader, Danny Lasoski at times during the race, Kaeding would take the checkered flag with a fifth place finish.

The Jackson County Fairgrounds would be the scene for Thursday’s event, and on this night Kaeding would thrill the crowd. Timing in 16th fastest, TK would not be Dash eligible and would start the feature from the eighth row. On a racy Jackson Speedway, Kaeding would have his elbows up as he clawed his way through the star studded field.

Getting into the eighth spot, Kaeding would chase after Craig Dollansky in the closing laps as he looked for another spot. Though his efforts for seventh came up short, Kaeding would advance eight positions to finish in the eighth spot.

Taking to the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night for a non-NSL event, Kaeding would get his night started off very quickly as he timed in second fastest. Bad luck would find the Lunstra Motorsports team on this night however, as a spinning car during TK’s heat race would collect Kaeding and the wreckage would junk Kaeding’s car and end his night.

Closing NSL Speedweek out on Sunday night, Kaeding and company were in action at the Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, SD. Turning in the 15th quickest lap during time trials, TK would pick up the heat race win.

Again lining up deep in the field, Kaeding would continue to show great speed at the Huset’s Speedway as he charged his way through the field and closed a very busy week of racing out with a sixth place effort.

“It was tough to lose a car on Saturday night, but in this sport it is part of it,” Kaeding added. “I really have to thank this team for all of their hard work. These mid-week races are tough on my guys, but they did a great job with it, and I am looking forward to some big races ahead.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Dammer Trucking, Folkens Bros. Trucking, Sioux Falls Ford, Yager Agriculture Supply, EMI, Matt’s Repair, Octane Ink, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: TK and the Lunstra Motorsports team will be in action four more times this week as they will be with the NSL at the I-80 Speedway this Thursday and Friday before returning to the Knoxville Raceway and the Huset’s Speedway Saturday and Sunday.
