PETERSEN MEDIA- Climbing aboard the C&M Motorsports No. 7c for the second consecutive Saturday night, Tony Gualda was impressive at Petaluma Speedway as he finished in the fourth position.

“It was another good night in the C&M Motorsports car,” Tony Gualda said. “Cody and Heavy D gave me a great car and we were able to get a Top-Five out of it”

Timing the PitStop USA/Alturas Tires/Autism Awareness No. 7c machine in second fastest during qualifications, Gualda would put on a show during his heat race. From the second row, the Hollister, CA driver would get into the lead quick until a late caution came out.

The restart it was deemed Gualda was on the throttle too early, and he would be put back a spot and he would end up finishing in the second position.

Drawing an eight in the redraw, Gualda would grid the field from the fourth row for the feature event. Battling a tight car in the race’s opening laps, the C&M Motorsports machine would come to life as laps clicked off.

Able to move around as the car came to him, Gualda would get moving forward as he raced his way into the Top-Five.

Working his way up to the fourth spot, Gualda would cap a strong showing in Petaluma, CA with a fourth place finish.

“We were tight early in the feature event, but as we got going the car got better and better and we were able to make some moves and get a Top-Five finish,” Gualda said. “I can’t thank this team enough for giving me a shot in their car.”

The team would also like to extend a thank you to Rich and Carrie Margherita, and Larry Moorefield for their added help over the weekend.
