PETERSEN MEDIA: A frustrating season for Andy Gregg saw him involved in a mid-race wreck on Sunday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway and unfortunately the damage has forced him to take a few weeks off from racing as his team rebuilds with the hopes of hitting the track on June 25th.

“It has just been one of those years for this team,” Andy Gregg said. “We were very fortunate to align ourselves with some great people over the offseason, and that has helped us a ton this year, but after the damage Saturday night we have to take a couple weeks off to get things taken care of with racecars and other equipment.”

Having a very good night going with the Civil War Series on Sunday night, Gregg would race his way from seventh to second in the Dash which put his Mike’s Hard Lemonade/Angius and Terry LLP/ARP Enterprises No. 16 machine on the front row of the feature event.

Running inside the top-three during the first half of the race, Gregg would be involved in a multi car wreck that saw his machine take heavy impact and force him front the race.

“My guys have been busy this year fixing equipment and building cars, and that’s not what we had hoped for this season,” Gregg added. “Like I said, we are fortunate to have some great people behind us that will allow us to race on this year, but the way it has gone, we will have to miss a couple of shows.”

Andy would like to thank GUTS, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Angius and Terry LLP, ARP Enterprises, Capitol Ace Hardware, New Gen Landscape, Broadband Agreements, K&N, FK Rod Ends, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, FK Shocks, Wilwood, Arnold’s For Awards, CTL Forest Management, Empire Works, Ice House Resort, Ervin Sales, EMI, Watson Cattle, Wally’s Pizza Bar, Myers and Sons Dry Wall, K&T Custom Fab, Amerikote, Pony Express Service, and Nail It Roofing  for their support in 2016.

ON TAP: Gregg is hoping to be back on track at the Placerville Speedway on June 25th.

2016 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-8, Wins- 0, Top 5’s-2, Top 10’s-2
