PETERSEN MEDIA- Teaming back up with the Rudeen Racing team for the first time since his Trophy Cup triumph, Willie Croft spent his weekend racing at the Skagit Speedway.

“It definitely was not the weekend we were hoping for, but I really have to thank Kevin Rudeen and his team for the opportunity,” Willie Croft said. “We are also going to run on Monday night so hopefully we can end our stint together on a positive note.”

Thursday night saw Croft and Rudeen Racing in action in what would be a wild 360ci race. After timing in fifth fastest, Croft would finish fifth in his heat race and pull the seven for the A Main.

A rough Skagit Speedway surface would cause a massive pile up on the start of the race, and Croft would find himself involved in the mêlée as he would get upside down and his night would come to an early end.

With Friday’s program raining out, Croft would be in action with the World of Outlaws on Saturday night. Timing the Rudeen Racing No. 26 machine in 13th fastest, the Roseville, CA driver would finish fifth in his heat race and safely transfer into the 25-lap A Main event.

From his seventh row starting position, Croft would work his way inside the Top-10 during a wild first half of the A Main. As the race wound down, Croft’s machine would start to go away and he would slowly drift back through the field.

When the checkered flag flew on the race, Croft would pick up a 17th place finish.

“We were pretty good in the middle part of the race, but as the laps clicked down, the car went away a little and we lost some positions,” Croft said. “I am really looking forward to Elma, WA on Monday night and am hoping we can put this Rudeen Racing entry up front.”

Willie Croft Racing would like to thank Holey Smokes BBQ, ButlerBuilt , Brown and Miller, FK Rod Ends, Hinchman Indy, Schoenfeld, K&N, Smith Precision Products, Kaeding Performance, Dan Olson Products, Vortex Wings, Amerikote, and GUTS for their support in 2015.

2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-42, Wins-0, Top 5’s-7, Top 10’s-14.

ON TAP: Croft will be back in the Rudeen Racing No. 26 machine on Monday night in Elma, WA before he climbs aboard the McColloch Motorsports No. 17 on Wednesday night in Chico, CA, and then return to action with the World of Outlaws on Friday and Saturday night in his own car.
