PETERSEN MEDIA- Heading to Placerville Speedway on Saturday night to take in a night of 360 action during the Tribute to Al Hinds, Jarrett Soares would have a tough night that ended in the ‘B’ Main.
“It was a tough night,” Soares said. “I feel like I let my team down. The track was tricky, and I just wasn’t aggressive enough.”
Timing in 25th quickest, Soares had his work cut out for him in his heat race. Getting into the fourth and final transfer spot on two occasions aboard the American Tool & Mfg/C&H Veteran Enterprises/Performance Powder Coating No. 12 machine, his passes would be negated on both occasions and it would result in a fifth place finish.
Not making the transfer to the feature event, Soares would be relegated to the ‘B’ main where he would line up in the eighth spot. On the rough and tumble track, Soares would catch a hole on the race’s opening lap and it would result n him going to the back of the pack.
Getting what he would in the 12-lap race, Soares would work his way back up to finish in the 10th spot, but his night would be over.
“I need to be better, and hopefully this weekend in Watsonville, CA I can get these guys a better finish,” Soares noted.
