PETERSEN MEDIA: Spending the spring and summer taking care of Lucas Ashe Racing with driver Lucas Ashe, Harley Van Dyke and his Van Dyke Motorsports No. 5h will now head to the Midwest to take part in some of the biggest races of the year including the Knoxville Nationals, both 360 and 410.
Van Dyke Motorsports kicked their Midwest swing off this week as Carson McCarl battled with the Sprint Invaders in Dubuque, IA on Tuesday night. A good start would see McCarl overcome an early tangle and charge from the back to finish ninth. The team is slated to take on the Lucas Oil ASCS National tour tomorrow night in Knoxville, IA with the possibility of following the series to Mason City, IA on Sunday.
Next week the team will be back at Knoxville Raceway as they take part in the 360 Nationals with California hot-shoe, Cory Eliason in the seat of the Lucas Oil/Hansen Machine/NAAKE Suspension entry.
Upon the completion of the 360 Nationals, the team will then bolt their 410ci engine into their car and take part in the Capitani Classic, as well as the Knoxville Nationals again with Eliason in the seat.
As the biggest two weeks of the summer comes to a close, the Van Dyke Motorsport team will then head back to their home base of California hoping to hit a race or two on the way, before resuming their schedule with Lucas Ashe Racing.
