PETERSEN MEDIA: Cole Wakim and the Josh Ford Motorsports team were in action with the USCS on Saturday night at the Kern County Dirt Track where Wakim continued his strong 2025 season with the series and tallied a fourth place finish.

“We had a super fast car all night long, and we probably were better than a fourth place car,” Wakim said. “Traffic just got tricky towards the end of the feature, and I had a couple of bobbles that cost us a few spots.”

Travelling to Bakersfield, CA on Saturday night for more USCS action at Kern County Raceway Park, Cole Wakim had a very good showing as he opened the night up by timing in fastest in his qualifying group aboard the Quick Change Liquid Energy/Inland Rigging/MPe backed No. 73 entry.

Lining up fifth in his heat race, the Simi Valley, CA driver continued to have a ton of speed as he worked his way through the field. Getting up to third, Wakim’s finish put him in the third row of the feature event.

When the feature event went green, Wakim was able to make some early moves as he quickly made his way into second.

Settling into second, Wakim continued to pound the top of the speedway as the cushion got faster as the race clicked off laps. Running solidly in second as the leaders got into traffic, a couple of missteps for Wakim resulted in him slipping back to fourth where he went on to close his night.
